What are the fees?

Fees range from $100-$125, depending on the therapist and the length of session (Intake session, 90 minutes; standard session, 50 minutes). Reduced fees may be considered on an individual basis.

Do you see couples that are not married?

Yes, we see all couples in committed relationships and at varying stages of a relationship: living together, dating for a long or short time, engaged to be married, newlyweds, have been married for a length of time, same sex couples.

Are you a doctor or social worker?

All therapists providing services at Two Roads Family Therapy, LLC, have Master of Science degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy from Friends University, and are Licensed CLinical Marriage and Family Therapists (LCMFTs).

How long is each session?

The initial session is an hour and a half in order to provide ample time for reviewing and completing standard intake forms in addition to the session time. Each subsequent session is 50 minutes in length.

How long does the therapy process last?

Each client, couple or family is unique; therefore, it is difficult to assess how many sessions it will take for either type of client to complete the therapy process. There are several considerations that can impact the length of therapy: the goals of the client, the issues/concerns that the client is experiencing, and the frequency of sessions (weekly, bi-weekly, etc.).

How often are sessions?

In the initial weeks of therapy, sessions are typically scheduled on a weekly basis. This schedule provides the client(s) and therapist the opportunity to establish a therapeutic relationship, and to address issues in sessions in a timeframe that promotes steady progress. However, clients sometimes meet on a bi-weekly schedule due to family, work or financial issues. This can be discussed between the client and therapist. Clients that come into therapy for regular sessions and feel they have made significant progress toward their goals, may reduce the number of sessions to bi-weekly or less as part of the tapering off period. This provides the client time incorporate the changes on their own. These sessions are helpful in achieving a healthy transition.

Do you accept insurance?

Currently we are an approved provider for Medicaid, AMERIGROUP, Cenpatico, Optum and United.  For all other insurance companies, it is recommended that the individual wanting to submit a claim to their insurance first call about their benefits and verify out-of-network coverage for mental health, and if the services will be reimbursed if provided by a marriage and family therapist.

What days and times can we meet with a therapist?

Sessions with a therapist are by appointment ONLY.
